Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
Sorry for not keeping it in the rumour thread , but looks like this well could be happening , and im anxious to get opinion.

We are looking to pay big wages 120k per week , he is in his prime one would imagine , but he has not had a sniff at united for quite a while now , and this worries me a little.

He was absolutely shit hot for a season , stated the CL final, but why the dip in form , was it on the back on injury , or did he just fall out of favour.

if we can get him firing , he would surley be a great signing , and i would take him above all other forward we have been lnked with , Austin , Jiminez et al.

So what are your thought on little pea coming over ...

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
its in a couple of others as well , i think we have got a good chance of getting him , out of those interested, not too many teams can afford him , and we are defiantly interested.

If the Yids keep their nose out , ill think we will get him.

What you think as a signing tho ?

I think Arsenal will scoop him up, in the midst of a panic spending spree following yesterday's upset.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
are they interested , would united sell to them if we are an alternative ?

You're probably both right, i really am willing this to happen. I should know better by now

Yesterday was an upset? No! It was a long overdue correction.

He is similar in style to Denis Law.

Everyone connected with Arsenal seemed to be rather upset, Coffers.

"Javier sees the ball"
"The ball is round"
"The ball is red"
"Javier kicks the ball"

So that is Beginner level. What would Advanced Talks be like?

Well, presumably Advanced talks involve moving on to the other colours, and the achievement of a 147 break.

He would do well for us, can't see it happening though while Man Utd are short on strikers themselves

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
How well did you do at Real Madrid, anyone know?

I worry that we think we are buying the young Hernandez when he was first on the scene at Man Utd but we end up with a player who has lost that yard of pace and isnt the same player (a bit like Michael Owen).

Personally I'd go for Austin as he is proven as of last season rather Hernandez who was proven 3 or 4 seasons ago.

If Hernandez is good enough to regularly come on AND score for Real Madrid, I think it's safe to say he would be very welcome here.

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
He was used mainly as a sub, from the few games I saw he did well when he played, obviously hard to displace players like Benzema, Ronaldo etc for regular game time. Scored the winner against Atletico in the CL.

I don't see Utd selling him without having another striker signed, they'd be crazy!

Re: Javier Hernandez .... In Advanced Talks
Watch a bit of Spanish football & needed several chances to score 1 for Real Madrid. Also anytime he attempted a pass outside the box he gave it away.
There is a reason Man UTD left him go on loan, Real Madrid didn't sign him permanently & Man UTD are willing to let him go again.

He wouldn't be for me but our needs are desperate.
